What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and iterate policy language collaboratively with a team of specialists
- Consult with policy owners, stakeholders, and legal experts to draft and edit policy language
- Facilitate client interactions in working group meetings and through individual communication channels
- Analyze USPS policies for regulatory/legal requirements and recommend changes
- Redraft policies and related materials to ensure clarity and compliance with modern standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline such as policy, public administration, or business
- 3+ years of policy experience in analysis, drafting, writing, and/or consulting
- Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in sensitive environments
- Experience collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 7+ years of policy experience in analysis, drafting, writing, and/or consulting
- Juris Doctorate (JD), Master’s in Public Policy (MPP), or Master’s in Public Administration (MPA)
- Experience with the U.S. Postal Service
- Agile, Scrum, and/or Lean Six Sigma training
- Experience briefing executive leaders
