What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Engage with USPS steering committees and working groups to develop roles, responsibilities, and an implementation plan
- Support the development of a SharePoint-based knowledge management and workflow system for policy data
- Analyze USPS policies for regulatory/legal requirements and commercial best practices
- Recommend and document the elimination of outdated policies
- Redraft policies and related materials to ensure clarity and compliance with modern standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (policy, public administration, business)
- Minimum of 3 years of policy experience in analysis, drafting, writing, and/or consulting
- Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a political environment
- Proven ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5+ years of policy experience in analysis, drafting, writing, and/or consulting
- Juris Doctorate (JD), Master’s in Public Policy (MPP), or Master’s in Public Administration (MPA)
- Experience with the Postal Service
- Training in Agile, Scrum, and/or Lean Six Sigma methodologies
