      The global law firm of K&L Gates is seeking a dedicated, resourceful, self-motivated Executive Assistant for the Washington, D.C. office. This role requires attention to detail, understanding business priorities, organizational skills, meeting tight deadlines, juggling multiple critical requests across internal and external stakeholders, and proactively anticipating needs across the practice group. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside the firm is critical. The candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, goal focused environment while maintaining flexibility and composure.

      KEY RELATIONSHIPS
      Lawyers, clients, other team members, management, and local and firmwide shared support services staff

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES

      • Manage extensive and complex calendars for multiple lawyers and professionals in a fast paced and dynamic environment
      • Arrange and maintain extensive travel plans and itineraries for both international and domestic travel
      • Coordinate and prepare monthly client bills
      • Prepare and submit monthly expense reports
      • Create, edit and format letters and other documents in MS Office and organize and maintain files
      • Assist with compiling and submitting data for compliance reports
      • Assist with overflow work and provide backup support as needed including basic tech support
      • Perform other duties required, such as, but not limited to, administrative work, practice development initiatives, and committee project work.

      EXPERIENCE SKILLS REQUIRED

      • High School/Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent); College/University degree a plus
      • 5+ years of experience
      • Fluency in all Microsoft Office products
      • Detailed and strong organizational skills
      • High aptitude for learning new skills, processes, and systems quickly
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Ability to demonstrate initiative as well as accept direction
      • Prior experience in a similar role in a law firm desired; experience working in professional services or related office preferred

      ADDITIONAL ABILITIES REQUIRED
      • Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines

      • This job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment. The ability to open file cabinets, lift files, bend, and stand on a stool may also be required.

      Compensation Salary $57,700 - $86,700 / year

      The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
