      The role:

      • Plan, develop and assist with implementation and evaluation of preventive health programs and strategies.
      • Conduct research and analysis, either individually or in conjunction with senior staff on issues and provide options on policy and program issues within the Unit.
      • Prepare correspondence, reports and/or briefing notes on unit priorities, policies and programs.
      • Establish and maintain clear communication and consultation channels and processes with team members and key stakeholders in the initiation, coordination, implementation and monitoring of Government policies and programs.
      • Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.

      Details of Appointment

      Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 31 December 2024

      *notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

      • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

      Location: Your primary work location maybe located in Hobart or Launceston, Tasmania

      Salary: $79,529 to $91,517 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

      • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

      The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
