APS6 Counter Terrorism (CT) Officers work under limited direction with autonomy and accountability to support the development and implementation of complex policies within the CT legislative framework

They undertake case and project management, engage and collaborate with stakeholders, and monitor current policies

They undertake research and analysis to identify issues and will contribute to complex requests for advice regarding emerging issues

They will provide evidence-based recommendations to identify issues and further improve, develop and implement CT policies and schemes
-
APS6 CT Officers in this role will contribute to the negotiation of inter-governmental arrangements, lead and support case management and broader programs, lead the analysis and evidence-based assessment of large bodies of information and provide advice on complex matters which support the clearly established strategic priorities and procedures of the Department and wider Government.

The Counter-Terrorism Coordination Centre (CTCC) has four branches structured around the functions of the Centre, comprising counter-terrorism (CT) strategy and policy, countering violent extremism (CVE) policy and programs, online CT and CVE policy, operations and working with states and territories to develop capability.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
