Job Description
- Req#: 95312
- Arrives to work in a timely manner. Reviews the activity list for the nights duties and patients.
- Reviews assigned patient charts, greets patients, completes appropriate paperwork and pre-test assessment.
- Applies recording sensors, acclimatizes patient to Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) if applicable, and performs pre-recording calibration.
- Monitors the recording during the evening per protocol including documentation and interventions as needed.
- Ends the recording per protocol, completes appropriate post-study documentation, removal of sensors and cleanup as needed.
- Scores polysomnograms as needed and prepares report for dictation.
- Assists in training, orientation and competency assessments as needed.
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations.
- One (1) year experience in sleep study activity.
- Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
- Must possess current and unrestricted certification or registration in one of the following: Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
