      Job Overview

      As a Pool Maintenance Technician, you play a crucial role in delivering on our promise of exceptional service, and ensuring our pools and water features are maintained to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

      Roles You Will Play

      Pool Maintenance & Repair Expert

      • Perform daily inspections, water testing, and chemical balancing of pools, spas, and fountains to maintain compliance with local and state health regulations.
      • Remotely monitor pool chemistry when applicable. Clean and maintain surrounding decking, tile and furniture.
      • Respond promptly to any pool-related emergencies, including leaks, contamination, or equipment failures.
      • Assist in overseeing major capital expenditures, including pool renovations, replasters and repair or replacement of surrounding pool decking, tile and coping.
      • Conduct pool openings, closures, and winterization tasks as needed, ensuring a seamless seasonal transition.
      • Respond promptly to any pool-related emergencies, including leaks, contamination, or equipment failures.
      • Maintain an appropriate stock of pool chemicals and supplies, monitor pool fixtures, furniture and equipment for damage, recommend and source replacements.

      Documentation & Collaboration

      • Work closely with the Community team to address resident concerns and ensure pools are ready for resident use.
      • Maintain accurate records as required by local municipality of chemical usage, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
      • Regularly inspect and maintain pool safety features, such as fencing, gates, and signage, to meet safety codes.

      Building Blocks of Success

      • Prior experience in pool maintenance, including chemical balancing and equipment repair.
      • Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) certification required; additional certifications (e.g., Aquatic Facility Operator) are a plus.
      • Familiarity with pool mechanical systems, water chemistry, and troubleshooting techniques.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents and the community team professionally.
      • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
