Job summary

Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain a professional, efficient, effective and timely service to patients, visitors and other departments that will contribute to achieving high quality patient care.
To Ensure the service supports the clinical care of patients and respects the privacy & dignity of every patient.
To ensure the health & safety of both recipients and those delivering the service.
To contribute towards best practice within the department.
To assist the porter management team in the development of the service.

Moving patients on Beds, Trolleys & chairs around the hospital.
Collecting & delivering specimen samples, blood products. Delivering Pharmaceuticals to wards & departments. Collection & delivery of medical gases. Waste service collection. Patient food trolleys. Clean linen deliveries. Postal services, furniture moves. We work with the mortuary department.
