- Prepares Annual and Interim Reviews for Existing Lessors: Manages the end-to-end process for annual and interim reviews including gathering current financial information from clients, conducting financial statement and risk analysis, and updating relevant materials as outlined in the Lessor approval process. Maintains frequent communication with clients to ensure timely receipt of documentation and accurate financial insight.
- Uses independent judgement and discretion to make recommendations regarding lessor approval or renewal.
- Identifies and escalates issues to the appropriate department head pertaining to lessor performance.
- Conducts Financial Analysis for New Lessor Relationships: Supports the establishment of new lessor relationships by evaluating the strength and experience of obligors and guarantors. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statement spreads, evaluating the adequacy of supporting documentation, obtaining additional data as needed, and securing credit reports and references.
- Portfolio Reporting: Prepares monthly reports to support the oversight of overall portfolio performance and trends. Delivers clear, concise summaries and recommendations to leadership, highlighting any risk concerns or notable developments within the lessor portfolio.
- Prepare Lessee Annual Reviews for ARE’s greater than $2,000,000.
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
- Minimum experience required: 3+ Years of experience in financial analysis, credit analysis, or related roles in a financial institution.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and use of financial ratios.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in leasing or equipment finance industry a plus.
- Strong financial and credit analysis skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to synthesize complex financial data and communicate effectively
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Physical demands (ADA): No unusual physical exertion is involved.

The Portfolio Analyst – FF&L is responsible for monitoring the performance of vehicle and equipment lessors, supporting the ongoing evaluation of credit risk, and maintaining oversight of portfolio health. This role contributes to prudent credit risk management through the preparation of annual and interim lessor reviews, financial analyses for new relationships, and development of key portfolio reporting. The Portfolio Analyst serves as a critical resource for assessing lessor creditworthiness and ensuring timely, accurate financial documentation and analysis.
