This opportunity The purpose of the Project Portfolio Manager - Data & Analytics role is to manage prioritised demand within the Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE), coordinating processes and communication in relation to this demand. The role will provide visibility of all planned work into and out of the CoE, aligning with stakeholders and adjacent teams on estimations, prioritisation, resourcing, and delivery timelines, while helping to manage dependencies and risks. The role will act as the point-of-contact into the CoE for technical teams and business stakeholders from a planning/forward-looking view of the project portfolio. The role will be heavily process-focused though allow room for flexibility, and as such is expected to provide delivery recommendations to the CoE Leadership, Analytics Product Leads and delivery teams. Responsibilities With a project/portfolio management background and familiarity with data analytics and agile practices, you will help establish, embed and manage fit-for-purpose processes within the CoE to coordinate and report on the overall project portfolio. To be successful in this role you will need to: * Work closely with the CoE Leadership, TPGT’s Program Office, IT, and the business to manage the flow of initiatives through the appropriate processes to populate the portfolio pipeline. * Assist with forming up new CoE initiatives to pass through assessment forums, sizing, prioritisation and sequencing sessions. * Enable management of the portfolio of work in a coordinated fashion to achieve clearly defined strategic objectives and associated benefits as defined through the planning process. * Monitor and report portfolio status, progress reports and recommend any process improvements to the CoE Leadership. * Resolve any cross-team issues, driving the implementation of corrective action as appropriate. * Manage dependencies and interfaces between teams internal and external to the CoE. * Provide regular portfolio-level updates on initiatives’ status to TPGT’s Program Office and senior leadership. * Provide effective stakeholder management through appropriate forums and ensure there is full transparency in the CoE’s planning and prioritisation processes. * Help translate business strategy into portfolio prioritisation, resource planning and drive alignment between related roadmaps. * Plan your work and be ready to take advantage of the opportunities and risks that come with our ever-changing industry. * Promote a culture that focuses on driving value, especially “last mile execution” that ensure value * Support an innovative and collaborative culture within your team and the CoE, staying on the lookout for opportunities to improve the way we work. Knowledge and experience * 3-5 years’ experience in a similar project, program or portfolio management role. * Experience with data analytics/data science/data engineering programs. * Strong analytical and technical background. * Knowledge of governance processes and risk management. * Know how to measure the success of new products and features. * Influencing and negotiation skills with a strong ability to work collaboratively across the organisation. * Excellent communication skills are essential. * Ability to engages/motivate others. * Ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple tasks and projects. * Good collaborative working style that drives a customer focus and great team engagement. * Excellent capability to manage own and teams’ deliverables.
