THE OPPORTUNITY
Cambridge Associate seeks a Portfolio Operations Associate to provide administrative support of post-transaction processing and supervisory support of the offshore teams who support these functions. This role will be the foundational position of a team responsible for post-transaction support, including Capital Call and Distribution processing and Cash Reconciliation supervision. As a group that values collaboration and being a team player, the role will require strong communication, adaptability, and exceptional organizational skills. This individual will need to work across departments to find and implement solutions that will impact the entire firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitoring Capital Call and Distribution processing
o Supervising offshore team success
o Troubleshooting obstructions to process on a daily basis
· Complete daily Cash Reconciliation
o Supervise offshore team success
o Monitor for reconciliation breaks and resolve on a daily basis
· Support additional post-transaction functions like Corporate Actions and Invoice Payments
· Improve working relationship and interactions between Cambridge Associates and external parties
· Work across departments to achieve client deliverables and enhance procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
· BA/BS with 1-3 years of experience in a corporate setting
· Attention to detail
· Private Equity and/or Custodian processing knowledge a plus
· Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to find improvements and follow them through to implementation
· Highly motivated and the ability to re-prioritize when necessary
· Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; including the use of complex formulas in Excel.
