Portfolio Delivery Planning: Developing and implementing a clear strategy for allocating programmes and projects to our supply chain to enable effective delivery.
Investment Management Controls: Establishing and implementing robust data and investment management controls within our corporate systems to manage the portfolio effectively and efficiently.
Portfolio Delivery Optimization: Providing management information and insights that support near-term planning an facilitate effective decision-making and performance management.
A track record of high performance and a strong standing within the organisation
Results driven approach to delivering customer outcomes on time and to the desired quality.
Ability to respond to challenging targets and deadlines.
Ability to engage with senior internal and sector stakeholders with confidence.

It’s exciting times for Portfolio Management as we evolve from a delivery focused support function into a more strategic function and the new Investment Management Team Leader will have an opportunity to play an important part in shaping and implementing this future.
The Portfolio Management team support Scottish Water to achieve their long-term strategic ambitions by ensuring:
Portfolio Managements service provision extends across both the Strategic Customer Service Planning and Capital Investment Directorates and we are also strengthening our engagement and working interfaces with the Finance and Strategy and Regulation.
What you’ll do :
As Investment Management - Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of our c£1billion a year investment portfolio through engagement of senior stakeholders from across Scottish Water to ensure that there is a clear understanding of investment targets, priorities and financial considerations embedded into our approach to Investment Management.Reporting to the Portfolio - Investment Manager, you will lead a team of portfolio specialists (Coordinators & Analysts) in managing the near-term investment portfolio to ensure that we meet our strategic objectives.
As a member of the Portfolio Management leadership team, you will also contribute to the future development of the wider function and support the ongoing embedment of our transformation activities to enhance our capabilities and improve the services we provide to our customers.

The not-so-small print
From 1st April 2024 Scottish Water is moving to a new grading and pay structure. This role will be a Grade 8, with a salary range from £48,900 to £68,510.
