      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct original research using machine learning algorithms and process-based models
      - Develop regional and global products to improve understanding of carbon stock changes
      - Map and monitor changes in forest structure and biomass globally
      - Quantify biomass loss and gain from land use activities and forest regeneration
      - Lead data processing, analysis, and publication of research findings

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - PhD in remote sensing, computer science, environmental science and engineering, or mathematics/statistics
      - Experience in quantitative analysis of geospatial data and time series analysis
      - Strong programming skills in scientific languages such as Python, MATLAB, or R
      - Knowledge of lidar and radar remote sensing techniques, particularly in forest applications
      - Demonstrated quantitative and computational skills, with a successful publication record

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Advanced knowledge of lidar and radar remote sensing techniques in forest applications
      - Experience in forest ecology and geography
      - Familiarity with machine learning algorithms
