      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop and execute original research plans aligned with NSF NCAR's scientific priorities

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Ph.D. or Sc.D. degree in a field related to NSF NCAR's research
      - Completion of your degree must occur by December 31, 2025, if not already completed
      - Strong knowledge base in Earth system sciences and specific research areas
      - Proven ability to conduct independent research and communicate findings effectively
      - Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of scientists and engineers

      - Demonstrated experience in conducting innovative research in atmospheric or Earth system sciences
      - Record of presenting scientific results and publishing in peer-reviewed journals
