What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute original research plans aligned with NSF NCAR's scientific priorities
- Document and disseminate findings through high-quality manuscripts and presentations
- Collaborate with leading scientists and researchers to enhance research outcomes
- Contribute to outreach activities and professional development programs
- Actively participate in the postdoctoral community and service initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. or Sc.D. degree in a field related to NSF NCAR's research
- Completion of your degree must occur by December 31, 2025, if not already completed
- Strong knowledge base in Earth system sciences and specific research areas
- Proven ability to conduct independent research and communicate findings effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of scientists and engineers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Demonstrated experience in conducting innovative research in atmospheric or Earth system sciences
- Record of presenting scientific results and publishing in peer-reviewed journals
- Familiarity with research protocols and navigating scientific publishing processes
- Established professional network within the scientific community
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
