  Postdoctoral Scholar

  This position will help manage 2 federally funded proposals focused on caterpillar pests of corn and alfalfa. This position will have research and extension responsibilities to help understand the proper management and monitoring of these insect pests.

  Duties include:

  • Maintain laboratory colonies of fall armyworm and European corn borer
  • Perform bioassays with fall armyworm and European corn borer
  • Prepare literature searches relevant to projects, participate in proposal team meetings.
  • Write manuscript drafts and preliminary reports for grant agencies, prepare presentations for meetings.
  • Assist with collecting European corn borer from field populations with possible interstate travel
