      Job Title: Powder Coater


      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater Painter to join our team, who will also perform sandblasting duties. The position involves working in a shop setting, preparing products for painting by sandblasting or shot blasting to remove abrasive material such as paint or rust from metal surfaces, and finishing by powder coating.

      Responsibilities

      • Prepare products for painting by sandblasting or shot blasting to remove abrasive material.
      • Finish metal surfaces by powder coating.
      • Assemble custom-made products that include drilling, sawing (metal and wood), riveting, and light metal fabrication.
      • Install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product.
      • Utilize a variety of hand tools such as panel saws, table saws, staple guns, and drills.
      • Measure accurately using tape measures.
      • Lift up to 75 pounds as part of routine tasks.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience in powder coating and painting.
      • Proficiency in sandblasting techniques.
      • Competency in using hand tools and power tools.
      • Ability to accurately use tape measures.
      • Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Previous experience with assembly and production processes.
      • Background in paint preparation.

      Work Environment

      Work in a well-organized welding and fabrication shop equipped with individual workstations, welding bays, work tables, and large paint booths for product finishing. Must wear composite-toed shoes and safety glasses. The position operates on the first shift, Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional additional hours, typically working 45-50 hours per week.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, Idaho.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
