- Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating by sandblasting to remove paint or rust.
- Apply powder coating to prepared surfaces.
- Assemble custom extendobeds by drilling, sawing (metal and wood), riveting, and using a variety of hand tools.
- Install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product.
- Handle lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Utilize hand tools such as panel saws, table saws, staple guns, and drills.
- Proficiency in powder coating and painting.
- Experience with sandblasting techniques.
- Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to accurately use tape measures and perform basic math calculations.
- Experience in a production or fabrication shop environment.
- Experience in assembly processes.
- Knowledge of paint preparation techniques.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater Painter who will also perform sandblasting duties. The role involves working in a shop setting to prepare products for painting by sandblasting or shot blasting, removing abrasive material such as paint or rust from metal surfaces, and finishing with powder coating. You will be contributing to the assembly of custom-made extendobeds for police and fire vehicles, which includes installing decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories.

Work Environment
Work in a well-organized welding and fabrication shop, complete with individual workstations, welding bays, work tables, and large paint booths for finishing products. Safety is a priority, with composite-toed shoes and safety glasses required. The role is for the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with some overtime, typically working 45-50 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
