      Job Description:

      GDIT is hiring a Senior Power BI Developer to assist us in gathering requirements, and then creating, demoing, testing, documenting and gaining acceptance for ~65 Power BI reports, for the Office of Financial Resources (OFR) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For this project, you will work closely with our customers in an Agile team environment, to understand their needs and legacy reports, and then lead the effort to covert them to Power BI. Candidates must have extensive experience with Power BI as a reporting solution, using large, complex data sets.

      The position is fully remote!

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Work directly with the project team to assess the customers needs, their legacy reports and the relevant data sets to propose, demo and receive acceptance for equivalent Power BI reports.

      • Incorporate CDC Security requirements, such as Row Level Security (RLS) and Single Sign On (SSO)

      • Work closely with other developers and the Agile Team, to align the solution with database requirements

      • Serve as a technical advisor and SME on how to optimize the reports and ensure stability and scalability in the future, if needed.

      • Provide updates in daily and weekly in stand-up meeting.

      • Participate in backlog grooming and design sessions.

      Required :

      • Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience

      • 4+ years of Power BI development required

      • Experience with database design, data migration ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory) and support

      • Participation in SQL Server and Oracle relational databases, coding stored procedures

      • Experience with Azure, AWS cloud development

      • Exposure in supporting and training of role-based users

      • Advanced technical writing skills

      Desired :

      • Experience with Appian or an equivalent low-code process automation platform is highly desired.

      • 2+ years of Azure data warehousing such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Storage

      • Capable of creating scripts to generate custom reports

      • Experience with Agile development tools, such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence

      • Ability to communicate clearly

      The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
