- Experience of writing basic and complex SQL statements (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Experience working with Excel data functions such as Vlookup or Pivot Tables
- Course work related to databases (relational, NoSQL, or cloud-based)
- Course work in a programming language such as PowerShell, python, R, or DAX
- Course work in computer design or user interface design
- Power BI Desktop or Power BI Service preferred experience
- Power Query or ETL tool experience preferred
- BI (Tableau, Looker, Cognos, etc.) reporting tool or Excel experience preferred

Internship Project Description:
IT Data Services Team is moving the on-premises data warehouse and enterprise reporting software to the Microsoft Azure platform and Power BI. The Intern will help users with Power BI report upgrading and training. Additionally, this position will be responsible for modelling and upgrading the application reports of the Real Estate information Management System (RIMS) application to Power BI reports.

During the Summer Intern Program, there are THREE (3) REQUIRED ATTENDANCE EVENTS. All interns must participate.
Intern positions do not come with any benefits other than holiday pay (if the employee worked for more than 20 days before the holiday) and Accrued Paid Sick Leave. Interns and Denver Water Temps accrue one hour of Accrued Paid Sick Leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year per the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act .
