      Role Description:

      Power Electronics Engineer (Electrical Power Systems Engineer):

      • Design, test, and validate inverter and converter power electronics, control systems, and auxiliary components for traction and propulsion applications (railway rolling stock, light rail vehicles, electric-powered off-road vehicles for mining, construction, etc.).

      Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE).
      • Several years of relevant full-time experience.
      • Experience designing high-power electronics, converters (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC), three-phase motors, switching devices, Si (Silicon)/SiC (Silicon Carbide) MOSFET, IGBT, etc.
      • Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, etc.

      Screening Questions:

      1. Do you have hands-on experience in architecting/designing and controlling inverters, AC-DC, DC-AC, DC-DC converters?
      2. Do you have experience sizing switching devices and filter components?
      3. Do you have experience analyzing and understanding the characteristics and performance of silicon vs silicon carbide switching devices for the applications mentioned?
