About the role We are currently seeking an experienced Power Quality Specialist to lead the power quality related works of the electricity distribution supply network to meet power quality requirements and optimise costs for any rectification works. Key Responsibilities include * Analyse daily situation report for power outages/ faults arising from customer complaints * Coordinate field activities and perform audits for rectification of issues * Perform testing works and install portable power quality meters as required to locate faults * Provide responses including preparation of customer reports and close out jobs with the relevant stakeholders * Lead power quality investigations that arise from network integrity proactive detection and attending fault finding works such as high impedance issues * Provide assistance and support to develop concept design for the augmentation work within the Distribution Substation Augmentation and Power Quality Programs and the distribution substation replacement work within the Distribution Substation Replacement Program * Coordinate field activities and perform audits for rectification of issues such a load balancing works * Distribution network LV circuit tracing and labelling works * Prepare monthly progress reports and organise annual calibration works About You The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge and understanding of LV distribution networks, zone substations and operations with an engineering background. * Broad understanding of low voltage distribution network line design and up to date knowledge of power quality standards and technical developments in the electricity industry * Understanding of testing procedures and power quality meters * Knowledge of IT systems used for power quality purposes (power quality software applications) * Effectively communicate with internal & external stakeholders * Ability to use software tools, spreadsheets, databases etc to perform duties * Advanced Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or prepared to undertake studies to attain this level of technical qualification Why you should come and work for us We are a champion of equal opportunity employment and have committed to targets for gender equity and first nations representation in our workforce.
