- Lead daily management operating rhythm and lean management system for the U.S. Power sites focused on action plans and problem solving.
- Drive transformational change through leading/supporting value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and structured problem solving of business level KPI gaps. Areas of focus will include will include all elements of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost to include NPI execution and aftermarket operations. Coach and develop others in the GE problem solving process.
- Establish standard processes: capture and maintain Standard Work for the U.S. Power sites to align business process operations to the current best practices. Establish a sustainment Genba rhythm to ensure Standard Work is being followed and process updates are being added through continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with supply chain finance team and functional stakeholders to prioritize projects for greatest impact.
- Drive cross-functional productivity projects across Sourcing, Operations, Engineering and Programs/Commercial.
- Develop and own make/buy process
- Define processes, IT tools, trainings, value stream, etc. to be used by the operations community.
- Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in supply chain operations, materials management, sourcing or relevant expertise.)
- Minimum of 5 years of supply chain, materials management, or sourcing experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Skilled collaborator across functions including materials management, sourcing, quality, operations.
