- Prepares and maintains all required documentation and reports relative to classes taught.
- Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
- Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.

The Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor position is a contract faculty position for the Practical Nursing program at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. Reporting to the Dean of Allied Health, the faculty member will provide theory and practical instruction sufficient for students to develop the skills necessary to become employed in the Practical Nursing profession. The position requires the supervision of students during patient care and requires flexibility to teach day or evening classes as well as clinical rotations on weekdays and/or weekends.
Minimum qualifications: Currently licensed registered nurse with Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university and completed courses comparable to the curriculum taught, or experience/expertise in the area of curriculum taught. Registered Nurse license must be within the state of Georgia and in good standing. Current CPR certification and extensive experience in Medical Surgical Nursing with the last five years or more required. Desired candidate must have at least 5 years of clinical experience within the past seven years. Medical-Surgical nursing experience is preferred. Work experience should include those competencies, skills, and knowledge levels which the instructor will be expected to teach. Occupational experience must meet the current requirements of the appropriate licensing boards for the area of instruction. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills. Preferred candidate will meet all minimum qualifications plus have a Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university and completed courses comparable with the curriculum taught or experience/expertise in the area of curriculum taught.
