      Job summary

      Are you a motivated person with a good level of computer knowledge and great communication and organisational skills?

      We are looking for a Full Time Practice Administrator to work alongside the Management Team over 5 days. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 08.00am to 4.00pm, Tuesday 08.00am-02.30pm and Friday 08.00am to 05.00pm with a half hour lunch break on each day. The successful candidate must also have the ability to work on their own initiative and be organised.

      Benefits will include 4 Weeks Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays, the NHS Pension Scheme and uniform supplied.

      Main duties of the job

      Main Responsibilities:

      Schedule and invite attendees for the following meetings:

      Communication

      Clinical Incident/Near Miss Meeting

      Safeguarding Meetings

      Patient Working Group Meetings

      Clinical Meeting

      Staff Meetings

      Staff Group Meetings

      Create agendas and maintain actions lists for each meeting. Minute Patient Participation Group meetings and circulate minutes.

      Appointments

      • Create Templates and Implement changes on Emis Templates
      • Arrange Room Allocation
      • Ensure we are meeting Extended Hours requirements on a monthly basis
      • Ensure all Annual Leave is covered for clinics GPs, Nurses, ACT
      • Arrange Stoma/Respiratory/Physiotherapy/Sene clinics as required.
      • Arrange Minor Operations and Family Planning Clinics.

      Drug Stock Checks and Ordering

      Adhoc

      • Put vaccinations away when delivered following cold chain process
      • Take payment from patients for private services
      • Liaise with Care Home Administrator to arrange monthly GP Care Home Visits
      • Scanning, Logging and Filing of Staff Training Certificates
      • Put onto the Accounts software invoices received
      • Audit Fridge monitoring to ensure fridges checked each day
      • Ensure Clinical Room Curtains are cleaned on rotation
      • Assist the Office with the annual review of the Practice Protocols
      • Maintain Personnel Files
      • Maintain Prescription Supplies
      • Assit with IT Problems
      • Oversee monthly health promotion display

      Perform any other duties assigned by the Office Manager and Practice Manager

      About us

      Bethesda Medical Centre is a forward thinking GP Surgery that aims to provide good medical care with respect and understanding for our patients and staff.

      The Bethesda Medical Centre is purpose built and situated on a cliff top in Cliftonville on the outskirts of Margate.

      The practice team consists of 12 doctors (4 partners and 8 salaried GPs), 3 Nurses, 2 Nursing Associates, 4 HCAs, the Acute Care Team, and admin & ancillary staff. We also have attached staff who are based at the practice or visit, and these include:- Mental Health Nurses, Social Prescribers, Ultrasound, Physiotherapists, Ophthalmologists and Headache specialists who hold weekly clinics at the Centre.
