We are looking for a Practice Nurse to provide cover starting in July, on either a permanent or fixed-term basis, at our small, friendly practice in a quiet setting near Victoria Park, Bow.
About Us:
- Patient list size:4,000
- Team structure:2 Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 1 Part-Time Locum Nurse, and 1 Healthcare Assistant (HCA), 5 Receptionist and 1 senior administrator.
- carry out a full range of tasks appropriate to the grade of the Nursing post.
- Where requested, assist GPs in the provision of clinical services
- Participate in practice meeting.
- Be committed to participation in training and education (inc clinical supervision).
- Participate in practice procedures for performance review and appraisal.
- Ensure that all duties are undertaken with due regard for patient confidentiality.

- Experience in General Practice

Job summary
The Ruston Street Clinic is a highly reputable practice based in Bow, Tower Hamlets. We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse with at least two years of experience in General Practice to join our team.
This is a permanent, part-time position for one day a week (8 hours).

Main duties of the job
Urinalysis
Phlebotomy
Perform other routine laboratory tests
Assist other clinical members when necessary
Provide lifestyle advice to patients making any necessary referrals within the Practice
All aspects of wound care including Doppler assessments and compression dressings
Record ECGs including 24 hour
Administer injections including baby vaccinations as per patient group direction
Undertake high vaginal swabs as requested by a doctor
Undertake pill checks
Undertake Cervical Smear testing
Long - tern conditions checks including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, Asthma etc
