      Job summary

      Earls Barton & Penvale Park Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to make a real difference in primary care. You will be responsible for a range of nursing duties, including immunisations, smears, wound care, chronic disease management, and health promotion.

      Main duties of the job

      Chronic Disease Management Support patients with conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension through regular reviews and education.Vaccinations & Immunisations Administer childhood and adult immunisations, travel vaccines, and flu jabs.

      Wound Care & Dressings Provide expert care for wounds, ulcers, and post-operative dressings.

      Health Screenings & Checks Conduct cervical smears, NHS health checks, and other routine assessments.Family Planning & Womens Health Support contraception services and sexual health advice.Health Promotion & Education Encourage healthy lifestyles through smoking cessation, weight management, and dietary advice.Infection Control & Administration Maintain accurate patient records and ensure best practices in infection prevention.
