- Working within your scope of practice and experience:
- Deliver core nursing services including:
- Cervical cytology
- Chronic disease management (e.g. Asthma, COPD, Diabetes)
- Wound care
- Ear irrigation
- Immunisations (adults & children)
- Travel vaccinations & advice
- Contraceptive advice
- General treatment room services
- Conduct patient assessments, develop and evaluate care plans
- Home visits when required
- Promote health education and lifestyle advice
- Make appropriate referrals to internal/external health professionals
- Support QOF achievement and other clinical targets
- Participate in clinical audits and implement improvements
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EMIS Web
- Monitor and order medical supplies; ensure appropriate storage
- Support maintenance and servicing of clinical equipment
- Ensure clinical areas are well-stocked and maintained
- Assist with recall and follow-up systems for patient care
- Build effective working relationships across the multidisciplinary team
