      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage pre-authorization and eligibility processes, ensuring timely acquisition of clinical information
      - Develop strategies to enhance pre-authorization collection, eligibility, and account receivables
      - Maintain relationships with patients and third-party payers to resolve unpaid receivables
      - Oversee billing policies and ensure accurate patient billing and efficient account collection
      - Train and monitor staff performance while developing productivity and performance benchmarks

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Approximately 3 years of substantial medical billing and collection experience in a large academic medical center
      - Understanding of automated practice management and EMR systems
      - Knowledge of third-party insurance billing policies and procedures, including CPT and ICD-9/10 coding
      - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse constituencies
      - Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's and/or Master’s Degree in a related field
      - Certified Professional Coder Certificate (CPC) course is welcomed
      - Experience in developing and managing performance measures to maximize productivity
