We focus on the ‘whole child’ – our program addresses their social, physical and cognitive development.We are seeking a Lead Teacher who will also work with our administrative team to ensure that all aspects of the curriculum is facilitated, and that we meet all state and city requirements (student files, attendance record keeping, etc…) The right candidate will have the ability to lead their team through Gymboree curriculum and lesson plans as well as creatively implement their own ideas and inspire their team to do the same. We know that playing and learning are inextricably linked and our "whole child" approach helps children to build strong motor and social skills to better prepare them for school, all while having fun!Educational Director Skills / QualificationsMust have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and have Teaching Certificate from the State of New York (or an accepted state)Experience working with young children ages 2 through 4 years of ageStrong organizational and planning skillsMust be on time or earlyEnergetic and enthusiastic – understands the importance of play with educationGood conversational skills for parent meetingsGood listening skillsGood group facilitation skillsRequirements:Must be able to produce proof of all credentialsA one-year commitment preferred.
