      Gampac Logistics is a fully owned subsidiary of US Foods that provides Logistics and Transportation Management Services for shippers within the United States. In addition to providing transportation services to US Foods, Gampac Logistics has several shippers in the Food industry on its impressive set of existing clients. Gampac Logistics is looking to aggressively grow its core business over the next few years, while expanding its service offering to include managed services, Intermodal, and dedicated account management. The President of Gampac Logistics will lead all functions of the company, including defining and implementing an ambitious vision, and leading the team to execute and exceed all short-term and long-term goals and objectives.

      Flexible Work Policy: This position has been segmented as Hybrid, meaning the work is a combination of onsite (2 days per week) and virtual (3 days per week). This position is based out of our corporate support office in Rosemont, Illinois.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      Leadership:

      • Provide enterprise leadership by developing, motivating and instilling confidence in associates; provide day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors to core values of the company
      • Define and execute the strategic plan to advance the Gampac Logistics’ Vision
      • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to foster mutually beneficial goals
      • Partner with US Foods Supply Chain to support their inbound needs and work towards capturing a growing share of their 3PL inbound volume
      • Define, champion and leverage the GAMPAC Logistics and US Foods brand to further market position as a leader of supply chain solutions
      • Present strategic progress and results to US Foods executive leadership team
      • Be a Change Agent that drives innovation and transformation through continually seeking and implementing disruptive solutions for customers, associates and supply chain partners
      • Motivate and lead a high-performance management culture; attract, recruit, hire and retain talented associates; provide mentoring and coaching to all members of the team as a cornerstone to achieving higher personal effectiveness and continuing career development

      Company Performance:

      • Oversee and monitor key indicators at all levels to insure added economic value to the Company
      • Direct Company budget process and business plans
      • Own the Company’s financial statements and conduct daily, weekly and monthly review of financial statements to ensure accuracy, timeliness and financial objectives are met
      • Deliver on all customer expectations as defined in SLAs, KPIs and contracts
      • Negotiate and approval of all agreements and contracts
      • Ensure that existing business is managed proactively to mitigate risks, to ensure value is delivered to all parties, to identify growth opportunities and to expand margin and profitability

      Business Growth & Market Share Expansion:

      • Seek and identify market needs, service requirements, competitive information, and other knowledge essential for our strategic efforts
      • Develop annual market growth plans, manage budgets, review structure, and establish clear management processes and expectations to deliver results
      • Ensure that the sales pipeline is managed proactively from target identification, through prospect development and the proposal development process, concluding with effective positioning and presentation to win the business
      • Achieve volume and margin growth in all existing business segments. Identify new segments in alignment with US Foods markets, vendors, and customers
      • Identify acquisition opportunities to further the Vision and Strategy of the Company.
      • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes
      • Through training and development, ensure strong pipeline of sales and operational talent that can set them to be future leaders within the company
      • Develop and implement a roadmap of tools, technology, data analytics, and operating systems that enable productivity for associates, customers, and business partners

      SUPERVISION

      Supervises a team of branch managers, sales leaders, carrier relation specialists and account managers. Also manages finance, accounting, analytics and IT resources through dotted-line relationships. Oversee value-added offshore services provided by 3rd party company.

      RELATIONSHIPS

      Internal: Strong relationship with US Foods Supply Chain teams, Category Management leadership, National Sales leadership, Field Operations

      External: Shippers, vendors, carriers

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in supply chain, business or management; advanced degree preferred

      Travel: Candidate must be willing to travel up to 25%

      Related Experience:

      • 10 years of 3PL brokerage experience, and at least 7 years’ experience in Senior Management roles
      • Experience in strategic planning and execution
      • Extensive knowledge of contracting, negotiating, transportation regulations, and third-party logistics industry
      • Ability to develop financial plans, interpret financial data, understand general accounting procedures
      • Knowledge of leadership, communication and public relations techniques to interact with a variety of people
      • Strong presentation skills with deep business and financial acumen; work requires professional written, verbal and interpersonal skills
      • Proven ability to motivate teams and associates towards successful goal accomplishment; ability to coach, develop and grow associate skills
      • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills; proven ability to manage several projects at one time
      • Proven ability to positively impact P&L results and achieve target expectations
      • Decisiveness and willingness to take well-reasoned risks
