      Press Operator - Fort Wayne, IN.
      Contract position - possible direct opportunity
      Third Shift Position
      Pay Rate; up to $20.00 per hour



      General Description of the Press Operator:
      Operating and troubleshooting warm forging presses to produce differential gears. Utilizing gauges and visual inspection to ensure that parts are meeting customer requirements.


      Principle Duties and Responsibilities of the Press Operator:
      • Utilize hand/power tools
      • Changing out/Replacing Die Sets
      • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examing form and texture of parts
      • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
      • Troubeshoots and maintains production equipment, which includes hydraulic, mechanic, and pneumatic systems
      • Supports the definition and maintenance of equipment specification including pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication standards
      • Recalibration of Presses
      • Process Drawings/Print Readings
      • Adjusting/Verifying Die Heights


      Required Skills of the Press Operator:
      • Mechanical Aptitude to troubleshoot failures
      • Forklift Operation

      • Recalibration of Presses
      • Process Drawings/Print Readings
      • Adjusting/Verifying Die Heights


      Required Education:
      • High School Diploma or GED
