      Job Description:

      Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Preventative Maintenance Technician / Trades Technician III (00449) in Facilities Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and service related functions on various mechanical equipment systems. Emphasis on maintaining equipment at or above the manufacturer's recommendations is vital to the mission of the Facilities Management Department. Record keeping in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and other governing authorities is another critical role of this position.

      This is a full-time, classified, non-exempt position in a pay band 3. A successful criminal background investigation is required. AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply.
