We are looking to recruit a Prevention Officer within Lambeth's Youth Justice Service to work as part of a multi-agency team whose overall aim is to prevent the risk of offending and re-offending by young people.
These roles are critical in leading our work to deliver high quality practice and excellent outcomes for our young people. The Prevention Officer is responsible for providing case work support to young people and families with multiple needs from the moment they come into contact with the Youth Justice system. You will hold a caseload of young people and the work will involve undertaking assessments and putting in place brief targeted interventions aimed at linking young people and their families into universal services in order to divert them from the Youth Justice System.
You will use your skills, knowledge and experience to contribute to the development of new programmes and projects using evidence-based practice.
Successful candidates will be asked to apply for an Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Further information about the DBS can be found at www.homeoffice.gov.uk/agencies-public-bodies/dbs
