- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing aligns with market trends and company objectives.
- Utilise data analysis tools to derive insights and support decision-making processes.
- Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing strategies for customers.
- Use various software applications, such as: spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble and format data and/or reports.

Job Summary:
Farnell Global, a mainstay in the electronic component distribution industry, is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Price Approval Analyst on their placement year (1 year fixed term contract). The role is working within the European Pricing Team which is at the forefront of understanding customer behaviours to optimise profitability and enhance business support.
The main purpose of this position is to support managing discounting behaviour within the sales organisation, analysing various factors on requests for special pricing to determine level of acceptability. Through analysis the goal is to establish trends and opportunities to drive more profitable business.
This is a great opportunity to understand how data analytics and pricing are used within a large organisation and the challenges this involves in a fast-moving business environment.
