Job Description

- Support the implementation of PriceFx across the Chemical Division as the data analytics subject matter expert.
- Lead pricing data analysis to identify optimal pricing strategies, policies, rules, and fee-based options as well as process improvements to minimize value leakage and maximize Chemical Division competitiveness and profitability.
- Collect, organize, and interpret pricing data from various sources incorporating industry trends, market research, and other internal information.
- Develop predictive pricing and forecasting models considering multiple variables and scenarios with finance and product management.
- Support sales & marketing by analyzing customer behavior, market trends, and campaign effectiveness to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze customer behavior data to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
- Build customer segmentation models to enhance marketing effectiveness, pricing strategies, and target portfolio innovation efforts.
- Analyze customer data to identify opportunities for product innovation.
- Enable effective portfolio management by providing data analysis on sales performance, market trends, and strategic fit.
- Bring an outside-in perspective, recommending and developing analytical solutions (e.g., machine learning, artificial intelligence) for Chemical Division use cases (e.g., new product development, formulation optimization).
- Extend analytical support to operations for projects on operational efficiency, process optimization, and cost reduction.
- Partner cross-functionally with chemists, engineers, sales teams, and other departments to understand their needs & translate data into actionable insights.
- Shape a data-driven culture within the Chemical Division, mentoring others to develop our data science competency.
- Implement best practices for data quality & security and make recommendations to improve Milliken data governance policies.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate opportunities for and the impact of Chemical Division data science initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master ’ s degree is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for extracting insights from data.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python or SQL (preferred), and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly explain complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with the chemical industry is a plus but not required.
- Ability to travel up to 10% may be required.

Our growing Chemical Division is seeking an experienced and curious data analyst to join our team. While the primary focus of this role will be supporting pricing & revenue operations, the successful candidate will also be involved in projects strategically important to sales & marketing, innovation, portfolio management, and operations.
