      Here at P&O Ferries we are seeking a Pricing & Promotions Analyst to join our team here in Dover.

      Whilst some experience in an analytical role is preferred, having the right attitude and capability is key, you will be involved in determining promotional activity from its creation to the measurement of its success, you will work closely with the revenue management and pricing teams to ensure that we are driving the right business at the right time.

      Job Purpose:

      To support the Tourist Business Unit with Promotional Activity – from ideation to delivery to performance reporting – aligned to the Commercial Performance, promotional and pricing strategy.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      1. To be able to recommend tactical promotions and activity given the capabilities of P&O tourist sales systems.
      2. To work with the rest of the revenue management team in monitoring competitor activity and pricing on all route segments.
      3. To be actively involved in the commercial meetings – reviewing tourist booking performance, recognizing potential short-falls in business and work with the marketing department in helping to create promotional campaigns to remedy such issues.
      4. To report on the success or otherwise of promotional campaigns, you will be responsible for reporting its effectiveness, recognizing incremental demand and potential longer term market impact.
      5. To create the rate sheets – containing all the detail used to load our sales systems;
      • Booking and travel dates
      • Routes
      • Channels
      • Exclusion dates
      • Vehicle types applicable.
      6. You will have a good understanding of pricing and price elasticity and preferably have worked in this environment previously.
      To support the tourist department in any ad hoc analysis
