As a Barclays QA Desk Strategy Prime Services Analyst, you will be working with the QA Prime team. QA Prime is a new team within the QA Desk Strategy group to support the rapidly growing Prime Services business. QA Prime works closely with the business in developing analytics tools and models to help managing market and counterparty risk as well as inventory and financial resources. The team will also partner with the business to explore and quantify revenue generation opportunities.

Salary / Rate Minimum: 136,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: 170,000

What will you be doing?

• Designing, developing, and improving models and analytics for Prime Services, particularly for the funding and securities lending trading desks
• Optimizing Front Office processes to increase PnL and decrease risk
• Automating frequent Front Office tasks and create informative automated reports
• Liaising with Front Office and Technology, to deploy analytics in production
• You will be providing tactical analyses as required

What we’re looking for:

• Masters in financial mathematics or PhD in a quantitative field (Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science/Engineering)
• Extensive working knowledge of Python
• Exceptional analytical and numerical skills
• Familiarity and practical experience with statistics and data analysis

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Working knowledge of financing products (repo, margin and securities lending), as well as linear hedging instruments (FX/IR Swaps, Basis Swaps, forwards/futures etc.)
• Experience with C++
• Knowledge of Python libraries (e.g. Pandas)
• Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g. Jupyter, Bokeh)

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and
state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
