- Develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data to raise productivity, improve decision-making, and gain competitive advantage.
- Conduct statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification and collaborate with physicians to generate analysis and publications.
- Manage all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report-building functions of systems.
- Maintain analytical systems, verify the accuracy of the data, adhere to data policy and procedures, and act as a liaison to the business.
- Extract and clean data from hospital Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) or other database systems.
- Manage data privacy concerns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assess the medical status of patient groups based on cleaned data to generate publications that may include economic analysis or cost-effectiveness analysis of the data.
- Work with customers to understand project inputs and outputs and involvement with other tasks to support Clinical Research activities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math or engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Fluency in English and in Spanish is required
- Expertise in database systems, statistics, technical writing, and customer communication
- Has a broad understanding of project management

This is a Principal role, which means you will hold a leadership position without having direct reports. Your role will cover all of Latin America, requiring occasional travel within the region. The position is based in Brazil under a hybrid working model.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Required Knowledge and Experience:
A master’s degree in Data Science or Health Economics, strong history of publications on analyses of large datasets, ability to present information to leadership in multiple languages, and relevant certifications such as Health Data Analyst (CHDA), Project Management Professional (PMP); Member, American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and Member, International Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) are nice to have in this position. MS in Data science, Health Economics or similar and experience in medical environment are also preferred.
