      Our Risk and Assurance team have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Advisor Ethics, Conduct and Fraud.

      The Principal Advisor Ethics, Conduct and Fraud plays a pivotal role in creating a safe, inclusive and equitable environment at the Council by bringing about timely and effective resolution of matters relating to suspect, alleged or actual wrongdoing within Auckland Council and applicable Council-controlled organisations (CCOs).

      The role is responsible for being the subject matter expert and providing specialist expertise in line with Council’s policies and procedures, ensuring that these processes are carried out in a legally compliant and appropriate manner.

      He kōrero mōu: About you

      Certainly you will have experience working in discipline or regulatory matters, investigations, and complaints as well as experience in ethics, fraud and/or internal audit in a complex local government, public or private sector environment.

      You have a sound understanding of and ability to apply public sector probity requirements/needs as they relate to identifying and managing fraud and conduct risk. A strong understanding of the organisational strategy, business needs, key drivers and the surrounding political environment.

      You will have a Degree-level qualification and professional qualification in a relevant field.
