- Providing technical leadership in the area of roads and highways design, helping our people to deliver efficient, safe and innovative solutions to our client’s problems;
- Design management, Project Management and co-ordination of multidisciplinary roads projects within the roles of Job Manager and/or Project Director;
- Verification of roads and highways projects against current Australian standards and best practice guidelines including Austroads and the VicRoads supplements;
- Developing a culture of outstanding delivery within the team including the development of work flow processes to take a design from feasibility to detailed design;
- Providing coaching an mentoring to our young enthusiastic team members with respect to your technical area of expertise as well as project planning and execution;
- Business development activities from the early identification of opportunities through to their active pursuit and securing of projects with our clients and industry partners;
- Participation within the transport leadership group to help define and shape our strategy to respond to the needs of the market;

Our Victorian Civil team specialises in the design of roads, rail, bridges, stormwater, and general civil engineering projects. This is a skilled, high performing team that works on a wide variety of projects in the (roads and airports), Power, Water and Industrial, and provides civil expertise around stormwater drainage, earthworks and road/pavement design. Some of the key recent projects the team have been delivering on are: Fulham solar farm, Melbourne Airport's Third Runway and the Western Treatment Plant Upgrade.

Our established civil team is growing and looking for an experienced Principal/ Technical Director Civil Engineer to join our team.

About you
You’ll be a qualified Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Engineering Technologist with Engineers Australia (or equivalent Professional Society), with your civil engineering experience coming from a consulting environment. With a particular focus on roads and highways projects, you will have a good knowledge of VicRoads and Austroads guidelines. You are a values driven person who enjoys sharing the successes of your colleagues and delivering excellence for your clients.
