- The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological assessment of children and young people with complex presentations and histories of trauma, loss and attachment disruption. You will be able to interpret and integrate information and data from a variety of sources.
- As an autonomous clinician you will be expected to have excellent communication skills and be able to provide consultation to families, schools, social workers and other professionals in a young person's care network.
- You will be responsible for identifying and reporting concerns regarding the safeguarding of children who may be at risk.
- You will undertake risk assessments and risk management plans for individual young people and provide specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
- You will formulate plans for specialist psychological therapy and/or support of a young person's mental health conditions based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based practice. You will skilfully negotiate the implementation of agreed plans with young people and/or their carers and others in the care network.
- You will be expected to implement a range of specialist psychological therapies for individual young people, carers, families and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations as required.
- Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or core professional qualification (i.e. Nursing, AHP, Social Work) with psychotherapy training to doctorate level.
- Relevant professional registration as a Psychological Professional
- Post-qualification training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological therapies practice
- Experienced in care co-ordination
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Additional post-doctoral training in working with psychosis
- Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
- Working as a psychological professional within the designated service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and a range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings.

Job summary
Clinical Psychologist Band 7-8a Developmental Post
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic and skilled Clinical Psychologist passionate about working with Care Experienced Young People in the CAMHS Children in Care Team in North Lincolnshire (RDASH CAMHS).
We welcome applications from newly qualified, or soon to be qualified, Clinical Psychologists looking to develop their skills, and from more experienced Clinical Psychologists looking to take the next step in their career.
The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of working with Care Experienced young people and of trauma informed models of care and intervention.
Training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and/or Theraplay would be useful but we would also accept applications from individuals with experience of these approaches and those who would be willing and able to attend further training in these areas
The post holder will join an established multidisciplinary team. The service model in North Lincolnshire CIC CAMHS includes providing consultation to adults supporting children and young people, assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions for children and young people and training to foster carers.
