You will join a highly talented team of data scientists and analysts who are responsible for developing advanced analytic capabilities designed to diagnose our clients’ needs for PBM services. Clinical Analytics team is part of OptumRx clinical organization, and our analytics often end up in clinical products and services that deliver cost savings and other clinical outcomes, so we play a huge role in empowering client-facing and product development teams with best-in-class insights to better serve our clients and patients.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Design, implement and be responsible for market leading analytic solutions to alert on trends in OptumRx clients’ prescription drug utilization, diagnose their needs for PBM services (clinical programs, formulary products, drug exclusion lists, critical drug affordability, benefit design etc.,), measure and track the performance of these services in terms of clients’ pharmacy spend savings
· Lead solution delivery projects; ensuring the delivery of robust, sustainable, and scalable analytics while engaging with IT and business partners
· Collaborate with lines of business to understand their analytic needs, contribute to shaping business solutions and communicate results of analytics
· Actively consult with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure appropriate business content is incorporated into analytic approaches
· Deliver well-engineered, scalable data products to support integrated analytics and reporting
· Work with UX designers, business program owners, and client managers to develop compelling visualizations
· Rapidly develop new insights and iterate upon those insights to drive business decisions
· Create annotated Data Bricks code and documentation describing analytics methodologies, data product designs using layman’s terms that will serve as the documented technical requirements for IT partners to scale and productionize analytics solutions
· Efficiently deliver on ad-hoc analysis requests from a wide range of stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
· Significant experience in data analytics and engineering roles using cloud technologies
· Technical experience in MS Azure, Python, SQL, Databricks, Data Factory and Git
· Ability to visualize, interpret and efficiently communicate data insights using Power BI (or similar)
· Comfortable analyzing and interpreting large volumes of data from disparate data sources with the ability to error proof the output of analyses
· Quantitative mindset and ability to understand complex processes
· Experience in creating rapid prototypes (ETL, Analytics logic)
· Demonstrated ability to own solution delivery with strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
· Strong communication skills, able to work with stakeholders from multiple levels and disciplines
· The ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our Dublin office is required
Preferred Qualifications:
· Undergraduate degree in discipline with strong analytical focus (analytics, mathematics, statistics, engineering etc.
· Experience in delivering predictive and/or prescriptive analytics in an industry setting that yielded real business value.
· Experience in healthcare and\or consulting delivering analytics projects
· Technical experience in SAS
· Computer science qualification or experience
