      GBS Data Quality Assurance Team (DQA) that is currently looking for a Principal Data Quality Analyst – Technical Lead for our team.

      The purpose of our team is to ensure that master, reference and transactional data created and used within in-scope AZ systems is fit for purpose. The Principal Data Quality Analyst role provides technical expertise to all DQA team members and supports our partners ( IT, business users, data stewards and more) to validate the content and quality of data assets; provide monitoring solutions; and investigate issues.

      They lead mentoring and training of colleagues to ensure that skills and capabilities are uplifted across the team.

      Typical Accountabilities :

      Data Quality Analysis

      • Conducting comprehensive assessments of data quality across various databases, data warehouses, and data sources to design new checks and understand data flows
      • Identifying discrepancies, anomalies, and errors in data sets and records.
      • Propose automations to our tasks and reports

      Data Services:

      • Issues identification –identify potential data issues and proposes system improvements
      • Data extracts – develop complex SQL scripts to retrieve data from strategic systems
      • Ad hoc reports – create reports using Excel, Power Query, Power BI and Power Automate

      Technical leadership:

      • Technical capability – design, development, and deployment of new data quality solutions or improvement of existing
      • Training and skill development – Provide technical expertise and guidance on data quality tools, methodologies, and best practices.
      • Documentation – support the documentation of relevant data solutions,

      Essential :

      • Proven experience in data analysis in a complex corporate data environment with often vague and evolving requirements
      • Good understanding of data quality and data management principles
      • Self-learning and proactive approach, collaboration skills
      • Proficient with relational databases and SQL query development
      • Experience of reporting using Microsoft Power BI
      • Experience of process automation using Microsoft Power platform (Power Apps/Power Automate)
      • Fluent business English

      Desirable :

      • Formal qualification in data analysis, data management, or related discipline
      • Experience using data quality profiling and monitoring tools
      • Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge
      • Python
      • S4 Hana knowledge
