      Summary

      This sunny and family friendly southern California designer center located in Newbury Park has been attracting top professionals to join Skyworks elite team here. This role will involve developing the most sophisticated RF front end module through Skyworks technical networks with collaboration with expert teams among all Skyworks design centers across the US and Japan. Over time this position has potential to advance from individual contributor to key leader who will own and execute critical portion of our product developments.       Job Responsibilities

      Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
      * Adapting best MCM design and full module Co-simulation practices
      * Designing semi-lumped RF matching networks in a compact environment
      * Designing Integrated Passive Devices
      * Designing RF multiplexers
      * Designing BAW filters and stacks
      * Lab tuning, data review and analysis
      * Work with PE team to review ATE reports and limits
      * Provide detailed reports/slides for customer support and exec reviews
      * Design high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high density component module and able to meet stringent requirements such as de-sense and harmonics
      * Participate and conduct design review meetings
      * Perform lab testing and tuning and usage of various RF test equipment

      The circuit blocks involved in a typical product development may include:
      1. Power Amplifiers
      2. Integrated Passive Devices
      3. SAW/BAW Duplexers & High-Q RF Filters
      4. Switches
      5. Low Noise Amplifiers
      6. Matching circuits
      7. High-directivity couplers

      Software Tools Used are:
      1. Ansoft HFSS
      2. Agilent ADS and Momentum
      3. Cadence Allegro and Virtuoso Layout
      4. Excel
      5. Microsoft Office/Outlook

      Hardware Tools Used are:
      1. Network Analyzers
      2. Spectrum Analyzers
      3. Signal Generators
      4. Digital Receivers
      5. Load-Pull/Tuners
      6. RF Probe Stations

      Qualifications

      * BSEE and 11- 12 years work experience or MS and 8-10 years or PhD and 6 years
      * Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
      * Experiences of EM tools such as HFSS, or Momentum
      * Lab experiences of network analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer and probe station
      * Knowledge of HBT, FET, CMOS devices
      * Knowledge of RF switch design, or power amplifier design, or PA classes, PAE, PA performance
      * Knowledge of communication standards, such as LTE-A, WiFi, and the associated standards
      * requirements on such as sensitivity, intermodulation, de-sense, ACLR, EVM"
      * Experience in ADS, Virtuoso, and Allegro Preferred Skills

      The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $122,000 - $231,000 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
