Job Summary

The Principal Engineer of the Identity, Authentication and Access Management is responsible for deployment, transforming and adoption of the Authentication and Access Management infrastructure comprising Radius, TACACS & LDAP. The engineer needs to be comfortable working with multiple technology stacks, and automation frameworks to facilitate rapid scaling and repeatable infrastructure. The Principal Engineer will need to demonstrate technical expertise and leadership in engineering, upgrading, and automating the deployment of the technology stack, logging, and monitoring, and following the best practices in designing and implementing robust infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities

• The primary focus of this role is in the area of Radius, TACACS and LDAP and supporting tools, where the candidate will maintain and enhance the technology stack
• Engineer and develop new solutions based on industry landscape change in security/protocols
• Help identify gaps in the existing security platform to improve quality, robustness, scalability, and security
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on users’ access and solution ownership
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and is successful when working in internal Product Teams
• Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple, dynamic, and competing priorities
• Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to solve problems quickly
• Provide operational support and incident response of issues/incidents when required
• Ongoing system responsibilities include daily administration, regular software maintenance including upgrade planning, and installation and configuration of software on new servers to build out new operational environments or provide additional system capacity
• Task definition, status reporting, creation, and maintenance of project documentation, including configuration guides, system specifications, workflow diagrams and change requests.

Required Experience

• Must have a solid understanding of system design and architecture with a focus on high availability, scalability, disaster recovery, and automation.
• Hands on with working in Linux environment. Should be well versed with the Linux OS with operations or secure system administration
• Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) like Concourse or Jenkins, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies
• Create and manage infrastructure as code environments in Kubernetes [OpenShift and Kubernetes cluster]
• Must have experience in Infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools with Ansible, Terraform.
• Experience working in Hybrid environment – Migrating apps from hardware-based servers to Kubernetes and private cloud.
• Experience with version control systems with Git.
• Experience working with installing, configuring open-source tools, troubleshooting dependencies.
