    • Assist with the supervision of the daily operations and administration of MPMS
    • Provide leadership in curriculum development and improvement at West Intermediate School
    • Serve as member of the administrative team for the building operations MPMS
    • Maintain strong discipline and safe learning environment in the building, on school grounds, and, as appropriate, on school transportation
    • Supervise, evaluate and make recommendations for hiring, discipline, or dismissal of MPMS school personnel
    • Assist with the preparation of master schedules and maintenance of required pupil records
    • Serve as a contact for athletic events and provide oversight and supervision at events
    • Support and collaborate in regard to supervision of all extra-curricular programs and activities, including athletics, for MPMS students
    • Administer negotiated employee contracts
    • Oversight and responsibility for building budget
    • Participate actively in district administrative leadership and consultation with Superintendent and other central office administrators
    • Other duties as may be assigned.

      POSITION: Principal of Mt. Pleasant Middle School

      The Mt. Pleasant Public Schools is looking for a highly qualified instructional leader that has the ultimate responsibility for the position of Principal of Mt. Pleasant Middle School. This is a 213 day position.

      LOCATION: Mt. Pleasant Middle School REPORTS TO: Superintendent/Asst. Superintendent

      Required Qualifications:
      • Has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, or related area, from an accredited college/university with training in secondary school administration, supervision, curriculum, and guidance

      PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Assist with the supervision of the daily operations and administration of MPMS
      • Provide leadership in curriculum development and improvement at West Intermediate School
