      Position: Principal Policy Officer, Strategic Partnerships

      Reporting to: Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships

      Salary: £63,112 per annum

      Location: City Hall, London E16 1ZE

      Our standard policy is three days in the office, but this role involves additional on-site presence and time spent out and about, depending on business needs.

      About the Role

      This is your chance to be at the heart of London’s future. As part of the Strategic Partnerships Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening the Mayor’s relationships with key stakeholders—from London Councils and borough leaders to businesses, public services, and community organisations. Working closely with the Senior Manager, you’ll craft high-impact briefings, shape communications, and provide insightful updates to the London Assembly and beyond. You’ll also help drive the work of the London Partnership Board, supporting city-wide initiatives that leave a lasting mark on the capital.       About you

      We would love to hear from you if you have the skills, capability, knowledge and track record in:

      • Proven experience working collaboratively with diverse partners in a complex stakeholder environment with an understanding of national, regional, and local government roles in London’s policy landscape.
      • Ability to produce and present clear, concise briefings on complex and sensitive issues, meeting tight deadlines for varied audiences.
      • Experience in delivering high-quality papers and reports for high-profile boards, ensuring effective decision-making and governance.
