  Mr. Cooper Group is looking for a Principal Product Manager (this is an individual contributor role) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delighting our customers by serving them better and more efficiently through innovative software solutions.

  This role will be responsible for supporting the vision and strategy of the Product Management function into software solutions in partnership with business units, other product owners, and the development team. Partners with other product owners and development teams to define and prioritize the product backlog so that the solution effectively addresses business needs while maintaining technical integrity and operational compliance. If deficiencies or non-compliances are identified, the position will require working with internal and external parties to perform root cause analysis and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.

  Work Experience:

  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • 5+ years of forward mortgage originations industry experience in Business Analyst and/or Product Owner roles
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and lean methodology
  • Hands-on experience in Point-of-Sale (POS) in applications like Blend preferred
  • Hands-on experience in Loan Origination Software in applications like Encompass preferred
  • Hands-on experience in Automated Underwriting Software (AUS) like DU and LP preferred
  • Experience in Product & Pricing implementations is preferred
  • Experience in data mapping and vendor integrations is preferred

  Candidates will be required to:

  • Work with the business and operations team to elicit and document functional requirements
  • Perform data analysis and create source-to-target mapping documents
  • Drive UI/UX design efforts through the creation of customer journey maps and UI/UX mockups
  • Lead Functional testing efforts, co-ordinate/support User Testing for project release
  • Analyze/Research user-reported issues and determine root-cause and resolution
  • Drive user training, release communications and product rollout efforts in collaboration with business and technology teams
  • Participate and drive daily scrum-meetings representing product vision
  • Work with the program manager to create project health status updates
