      We are looking for you to join our team as a Business Operations Principal Project Management Specialist. This position will be remote and may be worked in any CONUS state.

      The Organization

      The Business Operations (Bus Ops) Organization supports the Operations NIS Division Vice President and associated Strategy and Sector Initiatives Teams with planning, budgeting, reporting, and general administration activities to run the organization. The Team enables the VP to effectively represent the Operations Organization in Division and Sector-wide engagements in service of achieving goals. The Operations functions and teams supported by NIS Operations Bus Ops include Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Quality Mission Excellence, Infrastructure, and Digital Transformation.

      Bus Ops supports the organization’s effectiveness by leading the organization’s Rhythm of Business (RoB), monitoring performance, and contributing to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. The Team influences, coordinates and provides oversight for key internal processes including strategy and goal development, investment planning and capital deployment, organizational review preparation, cross-divisional projects, and sector-wide engagements.

      Roles and Responsibilities

      Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Developing, supporting and improving the Organization’s RoB including defining and managing processes, practices, and policies, and ensuring that all processes are followed / executed and that deadlines are met. Also includes management of reporting, communication, information flow, and organizational planning.
      • Planning and coordination of deliverables, reviews, and meetings/events. Includes leading effective meetings, agenda setting, publishing meeting minutes with actions, and coordinating with teams to drive actions to closure in alignment with organizational priorities.
      • Developing, analyzing, tracking and improving goals and metrics.
      • Developing and managing collaboration and analysis tools and data spaces (i.e. website, SharePoint, MS Teams, Confluence, JIRA, PowerBi, Tableau)
      • Supporting, monitoring, and reporting on capital planning, budgets, and project execution
      • Ensuring the VP of NIS Division Operations is prepared for critical meetings and engagements.
      • Supporting Business Recovery and Resumption Reviews
      • Supporting execution of initiatives and tasks initiated by the VP by partnering with cross-functional teams and business leaders throughout the organization.

      Basic Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience (4 years with Masters) in related field: Business Management, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Operations.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Excellent time management, collaboration and communication skills
      • Experience in organizational effectiveness, operations, and implementing best practices
      • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings
      • Ability to effectively work and influence across functions and with stakeholders at all levels
      • Well organized, flexible, and must be able to contend with multiple demands and pressure for speed and accuracy while maintaining a high level of sustained attention to detail
      • Superior abilities in developing visualizations and design of MS Powerpoint slides and MS Power BI dashboards
      • Interest and experience with managing data
      • Results oriented and highly motivated
      • Ability to proactively identify and solve operations and administrative problems
      • Experience with lean and agile methodologies
      • Experience with digital collaboration tools including MS Planner, MS Teams, Confluence, and Jira

      Salary Range: $80,600.00 - $121,000.00

      The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
