      What you will do

      Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Clinical Biomarkers & Diagnostics department at Amgen is seeking a highly motivated Principal Scientist with biomarker expertise in inflammatory diseases such as: atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, urticaria, inflammatory bowel disease, lupus, arthritis and/or asthma. In this vital role you will help drive scientific and technical plans collaboratively with other members of the Clinical Biomarkers & Diagnostics function, as well as with members of the Amgen research and development community.

      • The successful candidate will be the project lead with cross-functional teams, conducting clinical trials
      • Develop program-based strategies for pharmacodynamic, predictive, and exploratory biomarkers
      • Successfully implement a broad array of biomarker platforms and technologies to support clinical-stage programs
      • Establish and implement biomarker studies and collaborations with academic laboratories/KOLs
      • Support assay development, qualification and analysis of clinical samples
      • Manage biomarker assay outsourcing processes with external vendors and CROs

      Basic Qualifications:

      Doctorate degree and 3 years scientific experience

      Or

      Master’s degree and 6 years of scientific experience

      Or

      Bachelor's degree and 8 years scientific experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • PhD with 3 or more years pharmaceutical industry experience, developing biomarker strategies in a clinical development setting and/or in preclinical biomarker discovery/validation
      • Knowledge and translational biomarker experience in inflammation is highly desirable
      • Strong background in immunology, cell biology and genomics
      • Clinical development experience working with cross-functional teams conducting clinical trials
      • Experience in developing program-based strategies for pharmacodynamic, predictive, and exploratory biomarkers
      • Experience implementing a broad array of biomarker platforms and technologies to support clinical-stage programs
      • Demonstrated ability to establish and implement biomarker studies and collaborations with academic laboratories/KOLs
      • Experience in assay development and qualification and analysis of clinical samples
      • Experience managing biomarker assay outsourcing processes with external vendors and CROs
      • Poise and professionalism with strong communication and influencing skills in a dynamic environment

      143,771.00 USD - 157,710.00 USD
